Continuing my series on breakfast juices and smoothies to help you wake up and get the day started just right; The first drink of the morning has to be just right for all to be well with the world. If you’re not a coffee or a tea fan, know that there are other options to help get your day going such as delectable juices that can be thrown together in moments in a blender.
Pear And Blueberry Lassi
Traditionally made without fruit to accompany a rich Indian meal, this lassi uses pear to sweeten naturally and makes a refreshing breakfast drink. This drink has a fragrant flavour and is good for digestion.
- 1 pear, peel, core and chop
- 1 cup blueberries
- 3/4 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tbsp freshly-squeezed lime or lemon juice
Add all ingredients in a blender. Blend well until smooth. Serve chilled.
Makes 2 servings.
